Show COUGARS TRAIN FOR TRICKS OF C0L0RADOANS Coach Alvin Twitchell has leen working his men this week upon some of the fundamentals of basketball basket-ball that were revealed by the Colorado Colo-rado Timers last year, in order that the Cougars may be prepared to meet the Western Slate College of Colorado on somewhat even terms Friday and Saturday nights. Upon1 the ability of the Cougars to solve the pivoting and other methods of the Colorado team depends de-pends the outcome of the contests. The fact that the University of Utah .team went into Colorado and was defeated by a majority of the teams and then returned to Utah and has succeeded in holding its own with the Utah teams would indicate in-dicate that Colorado is strong, exceptionally ex-ceptionally strong, in basketball this year. Should the Cougars succeed in wining the state they will have to go to Colorado to play for-the conference con-ference championship and should they win the conference championships champion-ships or come close to doing so they really ought to be sent east to meet the star teams of the nation for national honors. With these projects In mind, in case of victory, the athletic council is hoping that the team will receive excellent support in these two last games of the season here. In the first place the team deserves support and in the second place, financial support will be necessary if the tennis are to make such excursions. The tickets are now on sale for the Colorado-B. Y. U. gnmes. All funs who wish to attend the gnmes should make their reservations early in order to avoid the rush at the last moment. .Since this is a regular conference game, regular conference prices will maintain. |
