Show COCLIDGE AS WRITER NEXT NEW YORK. March 5 T.E Former For-mer President Calvin Coolidge will publish his impressions of life in j the White House in the American magaaine in two articles which will appear early in the summer. Merle Crowell, editor of that publication, announced here today. Mr. Coolidge's remuneration for this writing is kept secret. "I am not at liberty to reveal what the former president is receiving," re-ceiving," Crowell said. "However, I may say that the remuneration is quite high." Crowell declared the articles have not yet been written, but that they will be soon after Coolidge gets settled in his Northampton, Mass., home. Conferences between him and editorial executive of the magazine will precede the writing, Crowell indicated. The subject matter in a general way, it was announced, an-nounced, would concern daily routine rou-tine of the nation's chief executive, his personal relationships with members of the preses, and other intimate phases of White House life. Crowell declared that Coolidge is not under execlusive contract to the American magazine, and that he understood the former president expects to do considerable popular writing. He professed no knowledge as to the latter's further activities, however. |
