Show COMMISSION DIVIDES WORK Responsibility Divided Among: County Commissioners; Road Work Featured. Division of responsibility in the administration of the county road work and supervision of the poor and indigent, has been made by the county commissioners following their regular weekly session of the board, Monday and Tue'sday. Under Un-der the plan as agreed upon, business busi-ness pertaining to the county infirmary, in-firmary, city and county building, county fair and other miscellaneous : county business will be handled by the commission as a whole, with no action to be take'n except upon the approval of two members of the board. Road Matters i In regard to road matters the fol- lowing division has been made: J. W. Gillman, of Orem, northern section sec-tion of the county, including Cedar Fort, Fairfield, I.ehi, American Fork, Highland, Alpine, American Fork canyon, Lindon, Pleasant Grove, and Orem. A. O. Smoot of Provo, the contral part of the county including Lake-view, Lake-view, Pleasant View, Provo, Provo j Bench, Springville and Mapleton. I Charles' H. White', of Payson, (he 1 southern part of the county including includ-ing Spanish Fork, Palmyra, Lake Shore, Benjamin, Payson, Spring Lake, Santaquin, Genola, Goshen and Elberta. John L. Clark of Springville was appointed temporary assistant in the county infirmary in the absence of James Olsen, who is on a leave of absence due to illness. A request has been received by the commission from the board of directors of the Springville Irrigation Irriga-tion district, asking that a levy of $1 per acre foot be made against the watcrowners of the district. The chairman of the board was authorized to sign a contract ior the purchase of large incandescent Mazda lamps, from the Callahan Hardware company, Provo, for the year 1929, in cooperation with Pro-! Pro-! vo city, under which certain dis- counts will be allowed. The clerk was authorized to send a' letter to Deputy Sheriff George ; Davis, asking him to vacate the residence by the pump plant, owned by the county. He was allowed 30 1 days to remove. |
