Show T CARAVAN TO MAKE SCENIC TOUROFUTAH Many inquiries have come in from Salt Lake City, Heber and Provo concerning the third annual para van excursion to southern Utah which will leave Provo Monday morning, August 24. All of the inquiries have indicated that people are interested in the cost of the trip as well as in the itinerary, according to the officials offi-cials in charge of the preparations. "The excursion Is made' up, one of the officials state, "for no other reason than to make It possible for people who otherwise might not have the oportunity to do so to make the trip In a comfortable car, at a minimum of expense and in a congenial group. It is thought too, that a conducted trip might have a little more value than one uncon-ducted, uncon-ducted, on account of the fact thai the roads traveled enroute will lead over the old Mormon trails thai are rich In historical romance. "By joining together in a portj of twelve or more a bus, large roomy, comfortable, safe, driven bj an expert driver, may be bad at o price of about $27.50. This price if about what a person's friend would charge him if he should make the trip In his private car counting ten cents a mile for the car. The othei expenses will be whatever they will be. The trip is exected to last 8 days. Stays wiU be made at hotels and camps. It is estimated that the total cost will be between $46 and $55." The caravan will go fist to Fish Lake where the party will stay over night at one of the camps. From Fish Lake the party will go to BO'ce canyon wuere nu over-mgiu stop will be mnde at V. T. Ranch in the heart of the Kaibab. The party will then visit Old Pipe Srings, .rich in historical romance and sleeping on the edge of the Painted Desert. .The road will lead around the Virmillion Cliffs to Hurricane with its famous fault, thence to Zion National Park where a stay will be made while the party visits all of the famous views of the noted canyon. From Zion the party will return home via Old Cove Fort and Fillmore, two of the most interesting interest-ing historical places in the state. |
