DONE IS PRINCIPAL EUREKAHIGH Springville Kiwanis Club Gives Farewell Program to Hihg School Principal As delegates to the Utah-Idaho Kiwanis district convention to be held in Pocatollo, August 24 and 25, the board of directors of the Spirng-ville Spirng-ville Kiwanis club at the weekly luncheon, held at the Third ward amusement hall Thurxduy evening submitted the names of I'res. M. E. Crnndull, Jr., Secret nry Elmo Coff-mnn Coff-mnn nnd, District Trustee M. O. Pncknrd, with Ralph Snelson nnd Win. Grooms as alternates. The recommendation was uiyinimously approved. It was further voted thai the Springville club take at least twenty members nnd their wives to the convention con-vention to participate in the stunt contest. The program at the luncheon wns in honor of Hay L. Done, who for the past four years has been principal princi-pal of the Springville high school and is now leaving to take the prin-clpalship prin-clpalship of the high school at Eureka. J. F. Wingate of the high school faculty gave a short talk reviewing the accomplishments of the school under Mr. Done's supervision. John F. Mendcnhall told of his active work in connection with the Kiwanis club. Howard Mnyeock, mnyor of the high school student body, mnde a short tnlk and in behalf of the students stu-dents of the high school presented Mr. Done with a gold ring. A short talk was also given by Supt. Melvin Wilson of the Nebo school district. The Kiwanis male qunrtet gave a selection nnd Mrs. Bella Crnndull played ra piano solo S. C. Wbittnker acted as toast-master toast-master of the evening. |
