Show SUPERVISORS OF FESTIVAL APPOINTED County Commission Gives Substantial Assistance to Festival The annual t'tah county fair nnd fall festival will he held In Provo, Wednesday, Thursday nnd Friday, September 21, 24, and 25.. according to n decision reached by the newly appointed fair committee at its initial ini-tial meeting Tuesday evening. The committee has the wholehearted whole-hearted support of the county commission which nt its meeting Wednesday guaranteed the committee commit-tee its financial support in making the show the best Utah county has ever had before this time. Throughout Wednesday morning the committee has beeu in constant session, arranging for the preliminaries prelim-inaries and getting ready to appoint all of the various sub-committees necessary to make a success of the affair. The members of these committees com-mittees will be selected from among the leaders In the various activities of the county and will be announced at the meeting to be held by the general gen-eral committee Monday evening. The committee already has at Its disposal $1200 for prizes and awards in the various departments while special prizes reaching a still larger larg-er figure will be arranged for with-j with-j in the next few days. ! The award money has been budgeted budg-eted by the committee as follows: Manufacturing, $100; domestic science and art, $150; agriculture, $300; livestock, ?450; junior project, pro-ject, $150; fine art, $50. The supervisors to have charge of the departments of the fair were selected as follows: Agriculture, L. L. Bunnell; livestock, A. O. Smoot;1 domestic art and science, Miss Ruby Smith ; junior project, J. F. Skinner; manufacturing, Walter Adams; fine art, Herald R. Clark. Mayor O. K. Hansen was selected to head the concessions committee, while J. A. Owens was appointed chairman of the amusements committee. |
