Show LINDBERGH IS WINGING WAY 10 GUATEMALA American Ace Leaves Mexico City on First Lap Of Good-Will Good-Will Flight Through Central Cen-tral American Countries MEXICO CITY, Dee. 28 (UP) A plane believed to be that of Colonel Col-onel Charles A. Lindbergh passed over San Rosa Hacienda, near Tuxtepec, in the state of Oaxaca, at 9 a. m., the National Telegraph's reported. VALBUENA FLYING FIELD, MEXICO CITY, Dec. 28 (UP) Setting forth on another mission of good will. Colonel Charles A. Lindbergh Lind-bergh took off in the Spirit of St. Louis at 6:35 a. m. today. After a few hours of flight across the mountains and jungles of Southeastern South-eastern Mexico, he hoped to arrive at Guatemala City, the first of several sev-eral Central American capitals on the air ambassador's calling list. Lindbergh arrived at the field before be-fore dawn. He was accompanied by Dwight Morrow, United States am-I am-I bassador. The flier lost little time in getting to his plane. He began to putter around it and shortly after 6 a. m. the mechanical part of the "We" combination was rolled from its hangar. Five hundred persons were at the field and the crowd increased with the approach of daybreak. Six floodlights were trained on the field. The flight to Guatemala meant another farewell for the aviator and his mother, Mrs. Evangeline Lindbergh, Lind-bergh, who came here from Detroit to spend Christmas with her son. Mrs. Lindbergh and Mrs. Morrow were together on the field. Six escort planes hopped off with Lindbergh. Lindbergh circled the field once and then roared off, soon disappearing. disappear-ing. Three other planes arose to join the escort and all the planes were out of sight within two minutes. The escort planes intended to go only a few miles leaving Lindbergh Lind-bergh to travel his solitary way most of the 75 miles to Guatmalr. City. Lindbergh hoped to arrive in the early afternoon. Weather conditions were in his favor. There was a slight haze at the foothills, but clear, blue skies could be seen above the distant mountains. VALBUENA FLYING FIELD MEXICO CITY, Dec. 28 (UP) After bidding her son goodbye on his flight to Guatemala City, Mrs. Evangeline Lodge Lindbergh today started back to the United States in the Ford-Stout airplane that brought her here for a Christmas reunion with Colonel Charles A.
