Show UTAH COUNTY MAYPURCHASE NEWMACHINE Office Work to Be Speeded Up Through Aid of Addressograph The possibilities offered by the instalation of an addressograph in the l'tah county courthouse were presented to the county commissioners commission-ers and the heads of the resix-ctive departments of the county Wednesday, Wednes-day, when the entire official family wen to Salt Lake to investigate the merits of the machine. The visiting parry went to the offices of the Iteinington Typewriting Typewrit-ing company, the Salt Lake county offices and those of the Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph company, the latter entertaining the group at luncheon. After a thorough investigation of the work of the addressograph and a special bookkeeping machine handled by the Remington Typewriting Typewrit-ing company, it was the consensus of opinion that a combination of the two, machines would be an ideal arrangement to handle the work of the Utnh county offices. It is stated by county officials that by the installation of this equipment a saving of $1500 to $1800 per year can be effected in the, work of handling the tax notices, roll, sales and certified tax sale records, all of which can be written on the addressogrnph. The machine has a capacity of upwards of 2,000 names and descriptions descrip-tions per hour, it is said, whereas the present scale of production is about 200 names and descriptions per day for each person writing.
