President G. R. Mayeoek was in charge. The stake choir under the direction of M. E. Crandall, Jr., gave two anthems. The Invocation was offered by Patriarch O, R. Huntington. After commenting on the large attendance of the first meeting of the newly organized stake. President Maycock stated that the stake boards of the various nxuiliary organizations or-ganizations had been filled with persons who were competent and capable. lie then urged the officers to be prayerful in the discharge of their duties. "We can accomplish the work if we are humble, nnd arrange our lives that the spirit of the Lord can direct us," he said. "Any officer of the stake or wnrd can perform his office better if he observes the Sabbath day and partakes of the .sacrament regularly. We cannot get results unless we do things the way the Lord has ptannod." President Mnyeook's counselors ,T. F. Iiringhurst and E. M. Snow also gave a few remarks, after which the stake clerk rend the names of tho persons selected to fill the various stake offices.
