Show FAMOUS SCOUT LEADER ATT Foremost Scout Trainer Employed Em-ployed to Teach Scout Leaders at University. Rodney Wood, formerly director of the Gilwell Park Training Center in Englnnd and. for the Inst two years, director of training centers conducted by the Canadian Boy Scouts association, has been engaged en-gaged by the Brignam Young university uni-versity to lecture to and work with the boy scout leaders who attend Leadership Week, January 20 to 30. Rodney Wood, according to Dr. Carl F. Eyring, scout commissioner of the Timpanogos district council and director of scouting at the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young university, is a fascinating fascinat-ing personality. Commissioner Eyring met Mr. Wood at the scout conference held in Estes Park last fall. He says Mr. Wood has such o winning personality nnd is so full Of information regarding scouting activities that groups of scout workers work-ers followed him continually while he was present at. the conference. "Mr. Wood," Dr. Eyring say?, 'has his home iV South Africa and has brought out) of his home land thrilling experiences he has passed through in the one-time dark continent, con-tinent, the land of big game. Rodney Rod-ney Wood is an out-door man's man. I think the Brignam Young university univer-sity especially fortunate in being aljle to secure tho services of Mr. Wood even for two days. "He will come here from .Sacra-'.nento, .Sacra-'.nento, Calif., where he has been conducting classes, especially, for Leadership Week. Immediately after his engagement is filled at the university he will return to California Califor-nia where he will resume his Instruction In-struction to scout leaders of that state."
