Penning-ton. At the conclusion of the meeting meet-ing a delicious luncheon was served by the hostess to fourteen members and three invited guests. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Lambson of Tooele were the house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Daley and family during last week. ' Mr. and Mrs. LaCelle Sumsion of this city are enjoying a motor trip through tho northwest and California. Cali-fornia. While in the latter state they will be the guess of Mrs. Sum-sion's Sum-sion's sister, Mrs. C. H. Fullen-baugh Fullen-baugh and family who are living in San Francisco. A large number of Sprlngville people attended the Black Hawk encampment at Mt. Pleasant during dur-ing the past week. Wednesday was Springville day in the big celebration celebra-tion and talent from this community com-munity furnished an excellent program pro-gram in the evening. Alma Fullmer Full-mer of the state organization was in charge. The Springville band under the leadership of E. L. Faux furnished music during the day. Outstanding among the social In compliment to her daughtei Carrol whose sixth birthday occurred oc-curred last Tuesday Mrs. A. W Cherrington of this city entertained entertain-ed at an attractive birthday party for a number of little friends at their home Tuesday artcrnoon. A pretty birthday oakd in colors of pink and white formed a centerpiece center-piece for the long dining tabic around which covers were laid for the following little guests: Louise Childs, Cecelia Maycock, Louise Long. Lucille Oakley, Mnurine Childs. Shirley Wheeler, Toss and Elaine Cherrington, ma and La Vern Sanford, Betty Cherrington. Norma Jean and Ruth Crundall, Bob and Carma Mendenhall. Before Be-fore and after Junch a variety of interesting games were played. Mrs. Bryan Biixl and two daughters daugh-ters of Bingham have returned to their home following a week's visit with relatives in this city. Miss LaVonc Daley accompanied guests. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Eugman, James Graham of Los Angeles, and Mr. and Mrs. Eli Mitchell of Mid-vale Mid-vale over the loop nd to Timpan-ogos Timpan-ogos cave one day last week. A picnic pic-nic lunch in the canyon also added to the day's entertainment. Mr. and Mrs. Jessee Salisbury spent several days of the past week vacationing at Fish Lake. Misses Ruth and Delia Baxter entertained at their home two days of last week for Miss Helen Kelsey who is here from Idaho to visit relatives. Milan Beardjll .and Leon Black-ett Black-ett have returned from an enjoyable enjoy-able two week's vacation trip to Yellowstone national park. An especially interesting meet-ing meet-ing of the American Legion auxiliary auxil-iary ot Springville was held last Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Anna Johnson. A well arranged ar-ranged program was given during the evening as follows: Vocal solos, Mrs. Leona West; readings, Mrs. |
