All business houses will close at 12 o'clock noon i Wednesday, August 21, that all may participate in the annual outing of Kolob stake, according to announcement announce-ment of committee chairmen. Everyone is invited to participate in this big annual event. Wednesday, August 21, promises to be a red letter day , , . in the history of Kolob stake, according to Joseph Jarvis and Hugh Baxter, general chairmen, who are in charge of the annual Kolob stake outing to be held at Geneva resort on that day. Plans are well under way to accommodate nearly 1000 people who are expected to participate in the activities of the day. The program will begin at 12 o'clock prompt, when all assemble for picnic lunch. At 1 o'clock a band concert will be given by the Sprmgviile band, followed bv a program consisting of the following musical numbers Community singing; two selections, Peerless male quartet; address of Welcome, President G. R. Maycock; dance, under direction of Miss Tess Childs; instrumental selection, under direction of E. L. Faux; reading, Cleo Pierce; selection. selec-tion. Fourth ward double trio; clarinet solo, Ralph B. Weight; dance duet, Hazel Anderson and Gena Smith; reoding, Donna Salisbury; Salis-bury; .-,-!..-; inn men's quartet from the second ward. jwi.-j ....! j.oylance is chairman of the program committee. Immediately following the program pro-gram sports of all kinds will be held for old and young. Novelty races of every description will be run. Ball game3, under the direction direc-tion of Floyd Miner, to be played between the various wards, promise to be an interesting event of the day. Horseshoe pitching contests will also be an attractive feature in the program. A water carnival, under the supervision su-pervision of B. M. Mendenhall, will be one of the outstanding events of the late after-noon, according to the outline, in which there will be swimming races, high and fancy dv-ing dv-ing contests for ladies and men; also a bathing beauty contest with men as the only entries. Prizes ior the winners in all these events as well as in the other races and contests will be given. Children who wish to go in tho water will be taken care of by Primary officers; also the Boy Scouts will act as life guards in the water during the whole day.
