Show Why Not Uniform Traffic Laws? Tourists and others who drive a good deal usually have a good word for on or western highways and scenery, but they seldom have any praise for our traffic laws. It is both disturbing and annoying to be "bawled out" by a traffic cop for doing something that policemen in other towns had directed the motorist to do. Each municipality has its own set of traffic regulations which conflict with those of neighboring cities. Travelers have a swel time trying to figure out the right way to drive amid conditions which change in kaleidoscopic fashion the farther they go. . Western states should get together on a uniform traffic code. Uniform laws should sweeten the dispositions and tempers of thousands of tourists and westerners alike. |
