Show Political Pot Begins to Boil , . g. 0. P. TO MEET SEPTEMBER 10 t - Democrats Meet Week Later i SALT LAKE CITY, July 27. (Special) The date for the holding of the state democratic convention hns not as yet been determined upon, according to W. J. Parker, state chairman of the Democratic party. The state central committee will meet some time In the near future fu-ture to decide definitely on the date for the convention. Since the practice prac-tice has been for the Democrats to hold their convention a week following fol-lowing that of the Republicans it is believed that the convention may be held sometime during the week of September 12 or 19. Ashby Snow of Salt Lake, is looked look-ed upon as a promising candidate for United States senator throughout through-out the northern part of the state, j Democrats believe. The only other position to be filled., that of candidate can-didate for state supreme court judge, will have at least two candidates, can-didates, and possibly more, party t leaders indicate. I Former Judge E. A. Pratt of Og- den has already announced his candidacy for that position. Another Anoth-er aspirant to the Democratic nomination nomin-ation is Judge George Christeusen of Price, who now occupies the bench in he Seventh judicial dis-rict. dis-rict. Marcusen of Price, state chairman. chair-man. Apportionment of delegates, the ftnte committee members decided, will be based upon the vote cast fur Lyman K. Skeen as presidential 'elector in 1924. One delegate will lie mimed for each 100 votes east jfiir the Republican presidential elector and this basis will provide for the attendance of 774 delegates at the convention. i Expressions of confidence were made at the meeting by Ernest Bamberger, national committeeman for Utah; Mr. Marcusen and other leaders.
