Boshard Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wing and daughter daugh-ter Ida. After the swim a picnic was served. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Felix and family, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Bird and family motored over Timpan-ogos Timpan-ogos loop Friday. Lunch was enjoyed en-joyed at Aspen . Grove. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wing and son have returned after spending a week as the guests of Mrs. Wing's brother in Salt Lake. Miss Enid Mendenhall who has been visiting in Fair view returned to her home in Springville Thursday. i ' Miss Maurine Whiting and Miss Elva Snow who have been living at Kennilworth during the summer are spending a few weeks with Elmina Mendenhall. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Fullmer have returned home after spending a week with relatives in Bear Lake and Preston, Idaho. The Indian War Yetera;.s of Spanish Fork and Springville enjoyed en-joyed an outing at Saratoga Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Sports of all kinds and a splendid program were feature of entertainment. Lunch was served to ! about 250 veterans and guests. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Bird have gone to Fish Lake to spend several days. Mrs. Charles Conover was the hostess at a dinner served in cafeteria cafe-teria style Wednesday evening the honored guest being Mrs. George Murdock of Los Angeles. The tables were decorated with pink and white cosmos and Shasta daisies. The assisting as-sisting hostess was Mrs. D. W. Wixam. Twenty guests enjoyed the 'affui'r as follows: Mr. and Mrs. L. W. About 50 Kiwanis members and their wives motored to Saltair Wednesday Wed-nesday to spend the afternoon nnd evening. Bathing furnished the entertainment en-tertainment during the nflernoon after which a delicious picnic lunch wns served. During the evening dancing and various other amusements amuse-ments were featured. The Beehive girls of the First ward M. I. A. were entertained at the home of Miss Killa Brown Tuesday Tues-day evening. Miss Lois Blanchard gave the lesson, games were played and refreshments were served to 10 members. Mrs. Will Xoakes spent Wednesday Wednes-day at Geneva with a party of friends from Spanish Fork. Miss Viva Diamond left Thursday Thurs-day for Los Angeles where she will make her home. Mr. Edward Clyde, Mr. Grover Clyde and .Mrs. Ella Clyde motored to Sandy Thursday to attend the funeral of John Clyde, a former resident of Springville. Mr. nnd Mrs. Joseph Eriekson and sons Glenn and Boyd have returned to their home in Ogden after visiting visi-ting a week with Mrs. C. W. Eriekson Eriek-son of this city. Miss Louise Cook left Friday for an extended vacation trip through California. Mrs. Ted Ohristeiwn of Fairview is spending the week with her mother, Mrs. J. F. Mendenhall. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Masters of Ringbain motored to Springville Thursday evening bringing their Iwo children. Mary and Avery who will -pond a few weeks with Mrs. Sarah Palfreyman. Miss Julia Johnson nnd Miss Jessie Packard toft Friday morning for a two wreeks vacation trip through California. They will accompany ac-company the members of the tabernacle taber-nacle choir of Salt Lake. . Mrs. Kapheal Palfreyman left recently re-cently for Kenilworth where she will spend a month with her husband. Doyle and sons Jack and Blaine have returned lo their home in Salt Lake after spending a few days with .Mrs. E. W. Brown. A delicious luncheon was served to 10 members after which they all attended at-tended the show at Springville. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Groesbeck and daughter Helen will leave Monday Mon-day for a 10 day trip through Yellowstone Yel-lowstone Park. Mrs. J. H. Bearnson has returned to her home in Eureka after spending spend-ing a few days with her parents Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Reynolds. Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Page of New Harmony L'tah, is visiting with Mrs. N. J. Deal. Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Baker and family and Miss Marian Groesbeck enjoyed a chicken dinner in Provo canyon Sunday. Mr. nnd Mrs. Rolf Wood of Lehi were guests at the home of Mrs. N. J. Deal July 24th. Mrs. A. O. Thorn accompanied her husband to Kenilworth Monday where she will spend the next two weeks. Mr. nnd Mrs. W. ' J. Croesbeek have returned to their home in Springville after spending the past week in Ogden, Garland and Salt Lake. A well appointed dinner party was given at the home of Mr. nnd Mrs. G. W. .Mendenhall Saturday. Covers were laid for 10 including Mrs. Emma Johnson and family of Provo Mrs. Elmina Bramall. Miss Louise Bramall, .Miss Ivy Bramall and Raymond Parker. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Jensen of Cniiada were the Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Mendenhall. Men-denhall. They have been visiting relatives in Trove for the past week. |
