L. liar-ron, liar-ron, chair ma n of the l'nblic Improvements Im-provements commit tee of the city council, under whose auspices, together to-gether with the aid of the Service Star Legion, the program will be given. Selvoy Boyer will act as master of ceremonies. A prelude to the program will be given by the Weight orchestra. The invocation will he by Kev. S. Hull Barrett, which will be followed by a vocal selection by the Kiwimis club juar-tot. juar-tot. The address of welco...j will be given by Mayor G. It. Maycock. Miss Melha Straw will give a reading and the Memorial Day address ad-dress will he -given by Judge A. B. Morgan of Provo. Following a vocal solo by Catherine A. Dougall, three 3-minute sentiments will be given hy veterans of three wars as follows: fol-lows: IStiO Major .foe Weslwood ; 181)8 Ayner Humphrey ; 1!17 ti. L. Barron. The program will close with a selection by the orchestra following which the Keverend Mr. Barrett will pronounce the benediction. bene-diction. Immediately after the program ,he Kiwuuis club will furnish cars to convey the old people to the cemeteries ceme-teries where the Service Star legion will place flags on the graves of all war heroes. A squad of World war veterans will give the military salute. The committee In charge would appreciate all World war veterans to be in attendance in uniform if possible. However, if the uniform is not available their presence will be appreciated in civilian clothes. At 8 o'clock in the evening the Springville hand will give a concert con-cert of patriotic and sacred music on the city square. |
