Show Fine program at club meet Ladies Literary Club enjoyed a program Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Oliver H. Dalton, where Mrs. Fern B. Olsen of Spanish Fork, reviewed re-viewed the book, "Black Like Men," by John Howard Griffin. A delightful interlude of the evening also was the music by Mr. and Mrs. David Dalton. He played two viola selections accompanied ac-companied by his wife, Donna, and she entertained with several sev-eral German folk songs, accompanied ac-companied by David. Mrs Olsen was introduced by Mrs. Berton Groesbeck, who was in charge of the program. The bok review presented an interesting phase of the racial problem. Mrs. Clara Sumsion reported on the legislative council meeting meet-ing in Provo, at which Kay Allen, Al-len, Salt Lake City state legislator leg-islator and former educator, spoke on education in Utah. The club collect was read by Mrs. G. Lowry Andeson. In charge of the meeting which was preceded by a nicely nice-ly arranged tray luncheon, was Mrs. Paul Thorn. She announced an-nounced plans for the club's Christmas party December 19, at the home of Mrs. F. C. Packard. Business was also discussed. |
