Show Father of local woman dies Walter Darling, 90, father of Mrs. Ross (Virginia) Hall of Mapleton, died Thursday, at a Provo rest home. Funeral services ser-vices were held Saturday at the Berg Mortuary in Provo and burial was in Lehi. Mr. Darling was a native of Lehi and later lived in Spanish Fork, where he operated the Darling Hotel and cafe for a number of years until retiring in 1946. After the death of his first wife Spina Christensen Darling, in 1945, he married Olive Thorn in 1947. She died in May 1962. Surviving besides Mrs. Hall, are three sons and another daughter; also 19 grandchildren grandchild-ren and 21 great grandchildren. John F. Kennedy, President, in holiday message to armed forces: "During the past months, your quiet readiness has proved vital to the preservation preser-vation of peace at times when world freedom has been' in haz- ard. Those who you defend send their thanks to you . . ." The person i who talks all the time has nothing to say. |
