Johnson, is one of the busiest students at high school it would seem after looking over a list of his activities ac-tivities as he is named as Senior of the Week this week. Maintaining a high point average ave-rage in his class wark, he rounds out his education by playing basketball on the varsity var-sity team; is vice-president of the Future Farmers, a member mem-ber of the- Thespians and the debate team. He was committee chairman for the Harvest ball and took part in the school play. He has applied for the State Farmer award and also for scolarships through the SHS agriculture departments He is working on the FFA parlimentary procedure team and in public speaking competition. compe-tition. He still finds time to be president of the Third ward Explorer post and do church work. As a hobby and to apply some of the things he learns in FFA, he farms eight acr$s of his own land. He hopes to continue his education in agronomy agro-nomy in college next year. If every individual would attempt - to give something to life, instead of trying to take something, there wouldn't be any need to debate the virtues of Capitalism. If the alumni of our institutions insti-tutions exhibited as much interest in-terest in scholastic affairs as they do in football prospects the nation would be on the verge of a revival of learning. |
