Student earns scholarship to USU, Logan Clair Hicks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Hicks, South Main, has been awarded a $300 scholarship scho-larship to the Utah State University, Uni-versity, Logan, it was announced announ-ced this week by Loren Phillips, Phil-lips, vocational agriculture instructor in-structor at the high school. The scholarship is to be used in the area of dairy manufacturing manufac-turing at the Land Grant College, Col-lege, Logan. Clair has been active in various var-ious phases of Future Farmer club work in high school and has a good scholastic record, it was stated. He is the third Future Farmer Far-mer in the high school FFA unit to receive a scholarship to the USU, which is a record for one school, according to Mr. Phillips. The local high school FFA chapter has previously pre-viously received not more than two scholarships in a year. |
