Throughout Through-out his busy life as a builder and contractor, he has found time to pursue and give aid to many needing help. Unassuming, Unassum-ing, unpretentious, kind, yet fearless in support of right and justice, this man has won our respect and admiration and our deep respect." A special honor has come to a Springville man, James H. Wardle, 745 East Center, who Friday evening, Sept. 20, will have a recreation center in southern Utah named for him. According to the programs printed for the occasion, a five county organization of southern south-ern Utah will present the Salt Lake Philharmonic Orchestra with Eugene Jelesnik conduct-in conduct-in the dedication concert at the opening of "the James H. Wardle Zion Park Bowl, Springdale, Utah." The Bowl is located in the heart of Zion's majestic mountains moun-tains and will be used for programs pro-grams at which it is expected a major portion of the 700,000 visitors to Zion National Park each year, will be guests. Family members stated that Mr. Wardle, who has been working on construction in that part of the state, has given giv-en free gratis, many hours of time during his "days off." He was in Mr. Madsen's cafe ca-fe when the subject came up of building a Bowl or stadium, Mr. Madsen stating that it had long been one of his dreams, to build a bowl. Mr. Wardle went along with the idea and from that day on cooperated in every way possible to make Mr. Madsen's dream come true. In appreciation of his efforts, Mr. Madsen suggested that the bowl be christened after , Mr. Wardle. j In sponsoring the dedication program, the five county organization or-ganization states that it proudly proud-ly salutes Julius V. Madsen for his achievement in construction con-struction of the James H. Wardel Zion Park Bowl and for adding a cultural contribu-ton contribu-ton such as this to southern Utah. The dedication program will feature in addition to Philharmonic Philhar-monic orchestra, numbers by the Terry Sisters; greetings by the mayor of Springdale; talk on aims and purposes of the Bowl by State Senator Orval Hafen; short talks by Supt. Frank Oberhansley of Zion Park, and James . Cannon, director di-rector of Utah tourist and publicity pub-licity council.
