From the information thus gained, biologists are able to determine which lakes will best support what type of fish, when such fish should be planted, and in the proper number. Survey crews seeking data In a continuing effort to bring the best in angling to Utah sportsmen, department survey crews are busy again this summer gathering information infor-mation which will be utilized in the proper management of the State's waters. Perhaps the best known is the Uinta survey operation which annually yields a wealth of biological and topographic data about the waters in that area. The crew conducting this study spends the summer sampling sam-pling lakes of the area as well as mapping land forms and trail locations. The sampling takes note of the fish species, |
