Open house to mark 50th wedding day for Mr., Mrs. John H. Patrick An Open House next Wednesday, Wed-nesday, October 10, will honor p. well-known Springville couple. cou-ple. Mr. and Mrs. John H. Patrick, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. anniver-sary. The couple will greet relatives, rela-tives, neighbors and friends from 3 until 8 p.m., at their residence, 190 North Third Third East. The family requests re-quests no gifts. Mi. and Mrs. Patrick were married October 10, 1912, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and have lived here their entire en-tire lives taking part in church and community affairs. , Mrs. Patrick (Lura) was born March 29, 1892, in Man-cos, Man-cos, Colo., to William Wallace and Louisa Morris White. Shei came to Springville with her parents at the age of ten years. She has been active in numerous church organizations organiza-tions having served as president presi-dent of Relief Society and Primary, a member of the Primary stake board, a stake missionary and teacher in the various auxiliary organizations. Mr. Patrick is a native 'of Springville born here March 20, 1881, a son of John and Margaret Hulet Patrick. During Dur-ing his earlier life, he did considerable blacksmith work being employed in Utah, Idaho and Nevada. Later he home-steaded home-steaded a farm in Wahnroads canyon and retired from farming farm-ing only a few years ago. He has worked in genealogy serving serv-ing as chairman of the Genealogy Gene-alogy committee in his ward. He has been a ward teacher many years and presently holds the position of High Priest. Eight of the couple's nine children are living and include: John C. Patrick, Mrs. Prank (Louise) Springer and Mrs. Wayne (Elma) Evens of Springville; Spr-ingville; Morris Patrick and Mrs.- Bryant (Ann) Nelson of Provo; Mrs. Evan (Erma) Whitesides of Lay ton; W. Wallace Wall-ace Patrick, Los Angeles, Cal-ornia, Cal-ornia, Mrs. J. Irvin (Marian) Wiseman of Redding, Calif. There are also 37 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. |
