Mr. Cannon remarked that Mapleton fruit is typical of the fine products for which the Beehive state is becoming more famous. Promote products, citizens urged "Everybody should be a salesman for Utah agricultural agricultur-al products." This was the admonition of D. James Cannon, director of the Utah Tourist & Publicity Council, as part of a current campaign to improve tourist relations in the Beehive State. Utah is famous for its delicious, deli-cious, good-flavored fruit and produce," Mr. Cannon said. "Every sector of the state has one or more products it is proud of and wants to promote to the world." As examples, the tourist bur- eau cited Green River watermelons, water-melons, Vernal and Duchesne honey, Bryee Canyon potatoes, Cache Valley Swiss cheese, choice Utah beef and delicious fruits and vegetables from every ev-ery corner of the state. Kiwanis meets Vernon Dunn of Salt Lake City, formerly of Springville, sales representative for a drug concern, will be the speaker at Kiwanis club meeting this evening. He will discuss the drug industry - quality and people and will also show films. Grant IT A The Grant School PTA will hold the first meeting of the year Wednesday Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. Parents will visit class rooms and the teachers will explain the year's program. |
