Dal-to- n are home from an educa-tional and most enjoyable two-mont-tour of Europe, arriv-ing here Thursday of last week. They made the trip both ways by plane. Enroute to the continent, they were with a scheduled tour of Lion club members from the area visiting Portu-gal and Spain and took a mo-tor coach tour of France. At Cannes, France, they met their son and daughter-in-la- Mr. and Mrs. David Dalton and their daughter, Alison, and with them took1 a 6500-mil- e tour of Europe by Volkswagen visiting Italy, Aus-tria, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Holland, Belgium & France. David, and his' wife proved most efficient guides, being able to converse with the natives in most of the coun-tries visited. They were also acquainted with many of the most interesting places in the various countries, having been in Germany for more than a year while David continued his music study. David and his wife and daughter are returning home by boat. They will visit here briefly before going to Win-fiel- d, Kansas, where he will teach in Southeastern College. The Daltons enjoyed an over-night visit with President How-ard and Mary Maycock at Hamburg, Germany and they send greetings to their many friends here. The Daltons toured England and Scotland and at Surrey,1 England, visited with Selvoy and Gladys Boyer, who also, send greetings to their friends. Aside from seeing many pla-ces of historical interest, the travelers enjoyed operas and plays and other special enter-tainment. They left London by plane at 1 p.m., on Thursday and ar-rived home at 9 p.m., the same day, the time changes enroute accounting for the short trip which was actually made in 13 hours. Many tourists stop at City Park booth J. M. Groesbeck, attendant at the tourist Information Booth at the City Park, said this week, that this has been the best summer yet so far as tourist stops at the booth are concerned. Mr. Groesbeck is at the booth daily from 1 until 6 p.m. He noted from his registration book that approximately 5000 tourists have stopped at the booth since it opened May 1. Quite a number have been or are going to the fair in Seattle, while many are bound for the coast, the parks in Southern Utah and many other points both east and west, Mr. Groesbeck commented. Well acquainted with the highways and routes through-out the western states, Mr. Groesbeck can generally ans-wer their inqueries. In addi-tion he never misses an oppor-tunity to tell them about Springville, the Art Gallery and many other attractions in the area. Mr. Groesbeck believes that the fine new sign across the highway has encouraged more tourists to stop here. (doming.
