Show Pioneer tree to be removed Not only will the corner on Fourth South and Main look unfamiliar for a time with the 2-story home removed, but to many the corner will not be the same with the fine old Hackberry tree gone. The tree was believed planted plant-ed by Daniel J. Alleman nearly near-ly 80 years ago, and according accord-ing to a group of students from Brigham Young University, Univer-sity, who visited the tree several sev-eral months ago, it is believed to be the largest and oldest of its kind in the state. Although the new owners of the property regret taking the tree out, it would hardly look righ in the middle of a store. |
