Show Favorite Disney film at Rivoli "Babes in Toyland," which opens at the Rivoli for a six day run starting tonight, was given the National Screen Council's Blue Ribbon award, an award which is given monthly on the basis of outstanding out-standing merit and suitability for family entertainment. This is Walt Disney's first live-action musical based on the familiar operetta with music by the immortal Victor Herbert. Use of animation and of the time-honojred Mother Goose characters, the movie is a delightful fairytale fantasy not too young even for adults. A Saturday matinee at '3 p.m. is scheduled especially for the kiddies. |
