The narration is done by Vern Young with special recording re-cording by James "Lawrence. Accompanists are Mrs. Edward Ed-ward Forshee and Gloria Sargent. Soloists include Kae Weight, LaVere Tippetts, Betty Wood, Mrs. Clyde Banner, Mrs. Dennis Den-nis Robertson, Jim Rawlings, and Clayne Robison. The cho rus comprises about 60 fine voices from the community. Special invitations have gone out to musical organizations throughout the county, to officers offi-cers of the Utah Federation of Music Clubs, and to friends of the director and those taking part. A sacred cantata, - "Blessed be the Name of Our God," written and directed by Glen A. Law of this city, will furnish fur-nish the musical portion of the "Parade of American Music" Mu-sic" to be presented by the Springville Federated Music Club tonight (Thurs. Feb. 22) in the Springville Stake House beginning at 8 p.m. There is no charge and everyone is invited. in-vited. In connection with the program, pro-gram, the theme of which is A Tribute to Choral Singing, special presentations will be made to two other "native sons" of Springville and three choral organizations: Richard P. Condie, director of the Salt Lake Tabernacle Choir; Ne well B. Weight, originator and first conductor of the Brigham Young University a cappella choir; the Springville High School a cappella choir directed direct-ed by Glenn Montague, which has been invited to sing at the Seattle Exposition; the Musettes Mus-ettes directed by Mrs. Bliss Hoover; and the Junior choir of the Community Presbyterian Presbyter-ian Church directed by Mrs. Alden Hickman. The "Parade of American Music," is sponsored throughout through-out the country each February by the National Federation of Music Clubs to pay honor to, and stimulate public interest in American composers and their music.
