Show Elates ... Mrs. J. A. Leslie entertained at a family dinner for her son Ted, who has just returned return-ed home after serving three years with the U.S. Navy. It was also Ted's 21st birthday. His twin brother Tad is in France with the U. S. Army. Covers were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Jack Crooksey, and two sons, Alex and Jeff of Orem; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Robertson and three children, Tony, Lisa and Valeria of Mapleton and the guest of honor and the hostess. hos-tess. Dale A. Hardy, who with Mrs. Hardy just recently moved mov-ed to Seattle, Wash., has been in Springville for the , past week on business. He enjoyed visiting with friends in his old neighborhood along with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hardy and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Weight spent a few days of last week making their acquaintance with their new granddaughter, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mecham at Mt. Home, Idaho. Mrs. Marshall Fox, her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Merlin Fox and their father, Alma Miner, are spending spend-ing several days visiting the Blaine Johnsons at Lincoln, Nebraska. Mrs. Johnson is the daughter of Mr. Miner. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Holt and family and Mrs. Wayne Wilde and daughter of Salt Lake City, were house guests at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. LaMar Weight two days last week. They were home to attend the missionary farewell of their brother George who leaves Oct. 23 for the mission home. Also attending attend-ing the testimonial were Mr. and Mrs. George C. Laney of Orchard, grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Stevens of Clearfield, aunt and uncle. Kichard Allan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Allan, is visiting vi-siting here from Renton, Washington. Wash-ington. He has been employed there for the past two and a half years since getting out of the service. His brother Robert, is also working in that same area. Tim Moss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Moss of Sacramento, Calif., formerly of Springville, has completed requirements for his Masters degree in Metallurgical Met-allurgical Engineering at the University of Utah and is now in Chicago, 111., employed with the Inland Steel Corp., according ac-cording to word received this week. He is a graduate of Springville high school. Tim's brother Don, left Sacramento last week to take six months training with the Marine Corps Reserves at San Diego and plans to return later to the University of Utah. |
