Mrs. Floyd Tuttle underwent surgery at the Utah Valley Hospital during the past week. Supper and cards were enjoyed en-joyed at the home of Mrs. Louise Jensen Thursday evening even-ing when she entertained the members of her Sierra Bonita Club at her home. Prizes were won by Mrs. Beth Jensen and Mrs. Iris Dibble. Two Mapleton women have been named to stake board offices of-fices recently in Kolob Stake. Mrs. Russell Walker was sustained sus-tained as music director in the Primary and Mrs. Reed Bennett was set apart as music instructor instruc-tor for junior Sunday School. Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Curtis were visited by' their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. ana Mrs. Robert Peterson of Ephraim during the weekend. Weekend visitors at the Preston Pres-ton Hooper home .were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hooper and son of Ogden. Mrs. Merle Best spent four days attending the 4-H Club convention at the Utah State University at Logan. Richard Court, who is stationed sta-tioned with the U. S. Air Force at San Francisco, spent two days at the home of his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Court. Richard will be transferred to Lackland Air Force Base in Texas for further schooling. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Robinson of Salt Lake City spent the Trinidad and the Point of Pe-trie. Pe-trie. In their travels they were impressed with the fact that each of these islands was a small world of its own with each its own customs and beliefs. be-liefs. They went by boat to Churaco and also enjoyed a trip down the Rio Grande River by river raft. They again visited vis-ited Miami where they spent a week before motoring to Arizona Ari-zona where they visited with a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James O. Cooper before be-fore returning home. weekend visiting their parents Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Ogilvie and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Robinson Rob-inson and families. Home for the funeral services of their father, Jack Medved held recently have been Mr. and Mrs. Frank Medved of Las Vegas, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Medved Med-ved of San Francisco and Mr. and Mrs. Don Kilpatrick of San Francisco. Seevral new babies have arrived ar-rived in Mapleton during the past few weeks. There are new baby girls at the home of the Don Simons, Cal Johnsons, Paul Cherringtons and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Revoir. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Harmer are also happy over the arrival of a baby girl born Saturday at the Payson Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Marrott have a baby boy. Mrs. Naomi Beardall has been hospitalized after a fall at the Mapleton School. Proud grandparents who were present at the blessing of their grandchildren Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Clegg who motored mot-ored to Orem where a granddaughter grand-daughter was named Sheri Lynn. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Seeley. A family dinner was enjoyed attended at-tended by the Cleggs and paternal pat-ernal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Seeley of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Norris T. Binks were in Payson to see a grand- son named Brent Daniels Binks. He is the baby of Mr. and Mrs. Cornell R. Binks. A family dinner din-ner was enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Nielson were in Springville where a granddaughter was blessed. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jay Nielson and they also enjoyed Sunday dinner together. A family dinner was served at the Sylvester Allan home on Sunday enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. Dean Allan and family of Springville, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Malheiro, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Allan and son of Provo and Mrs. Ena Carrick of Springville. Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Mackenzie Macken-zie are home after a two-month tour of the West Indies where they had a real recess from winter. They motored to Miami, Florida, where they enjoyed several days before taking a boat for Cuidad Trujillo where they saw the casket of Columbus, Colum-bus, along with many other tourist attractions. They sailed to Puerto Rico and to St. Thomas on the Vidgin Islands Is-lands where they saw historical Blue Beard's castle. They enjoyed en-joyed a visit to Gudaeloupe and Bridge Town on the Barbados and from there they went to |
