They request no gifts Mr. and Mrs. Louis Clegg who will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary June 26 at an open house. Open house planned June 26 to honor Mr. and Mrs. Louis Clegg Both attended the local schools. In 1900 Louis moved with his family to LeGrand, Oregon. He spent a great deal of his early years working in saw mills in the lumber camps and on ranches. In 1909 he returned to Springville for a visit sand it was at this time he met his wife and they were married June 15, 1910 in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. Clegg worked for the Amalgamated Sugar Co. They returned after living a year Family members, relatives, and friends will join in honoring hon-oring Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Clegg of 621 South Center, Maple-ton, Maple-ton, at their golden wedding celebration June 26 at their home. The Cleggs were married mar-ried 50 years ago Wed., June 15 but plan to hold the open house June 26 from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Louis Clegg was born Nov. 12, 1889 at Springville, Utah to Wm. Clegg Jr., x and Mary Ann Church Clegg. His wife Cora Bird Clegg was the daughter of Rosell D. Bird Sr. and Nancy Steel. She was born April 23, 1892 at Mapleton. |
