The family ! of Mrs. Hattie Jensen met at her home on June 5 to honor her on her 81st birthday. Visiting and lunch were enjoyed, by Mr. and Mrs. Russell Jensen and family fam-ily of Spanish Fork, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jensen and family of Panquitch, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whiting from Springville, Spring-ville, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Butler But-ler and family of Ogden and the Fay and Ermel Jensen families of Mapleton. Mrs. Katheryn (Kate) Strate of Columbia, Utah visited with relatives and friends in Mapleton Maple-ton last week. She was accom- Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Warren War-ren plan to make their home in Idaho this summer where he is employed. He will resume his studies at Logan in the fall. . Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Johnson John-son left Monday for a combined com-bined business and pleasure trip to Cedar City, St. George and Las Vegas. They plan to be gone a week. The Deacons of the Mapleton Second ward are reorganized with Neil Bennett, president; Kelley Johnson, counselor and John Crandall, secretary and treasurer. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard WTiit-ing WTiit-ing were Mr. and Mrs. Howard How-ard Roy of Oregon and their two daughters Mary and Naty who are roommates of Kristine Whiting at the Y. Several Mapleton people attended at-tended the wedding reception of Joseph Girot Jr., and Barbara Bar-bara Brown held in the Provo Stake House Thursday evening. Joseph is a former Mapleton resident. Mrs. Irving Snow of Duchesne Du-chesne is visiting at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Da-vies. Da-vies. Out of town relatives in Mapleton to attend the funeral services of Kent Jensen, who was drowned while fishing in Idaho, which were held last Wednesday in the Mapleton ward were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Ward of Kearns, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kirkman of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Arnett of Price, the Keith Butlers But-lers from Logan, Russdll Jensens Jen-sens of Spanish Fork, and the Fred Jensens from Panguitch. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Nielson have been her sister "and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Christensen of Farmington, New Mexico. Visiting with them for several days this week is Mrs. Delpha Johnson of Mesa, Arizona. Mrs. Johnson John-son is a sister-in-law to Mr. Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Dell Broadhead of Duchesne were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Con-die Con-die Crandall last week. They were enroute to California where they planned visiting with their son who is in the' army at San Diego and who will leave for Japan on June 21st, i Mr. and Mrs. Condie Crandall Cran-dall enjoyed a visit from their nephew Michael Humback of Jerome, Idaho during the week.
