J. Huff, with mem- Five generations were among guests at a dinner Saturday in honor of Mrs. Laura Hiatt of this city on the occasion of her 90th birthday. The dinner was at the home of a daughter, Mrs. O. J. Huff. The five generations who posed that day for their pictures from oldest to youngest, are, left to right: Mrs. Laura Hiatt, Mrs. Augusta Baiun, Mrs. Douglas E. (Judy) Holman of LeGrande, Oreg.; Mrs. Larry (Carole Lee) Marks, also of LeGrande, Oreg., and her two children Kelly Shawn and Kory Doug Marks, great great grandchildren of the guest of honor. bers of her family including five generations attending. The following day, as has been her custom for many years, she was up early and ready to attend Sunday School. Mrs. Hiatt has comparatively good health. She hears well and remembers events of many years back as well as those of the present. For pasttime, she knits. She makes her home with daughters, Mrs. Augusta Baum and Mrs., O. J. Huff. Another daughter, Mrs. Clara Packard lives in Mesa, Ariz. A native of Fish Haven, Bear Lake County, Idaho, Mrs. Hiatt has lived in several places pla-ces including Idaho, Oregon, and Canada. The family came to Utah in 1923 and with exception ex-ception of a few years in Oregon, Ore-gon, Mrs. Hiatt has lived in Springville since. She has always been a devout' de-vout' member of the LDS church and took active part in its various organizations especially es-pecially Relief Society in her earlier years. Her husband died February 10, 1959, at the age of 93. Besides the three daughters living, Mrs. Hiatt has 31 grandchildren;. 81 great grandchildren grand-children and four great great grandchildren. |
