Show Over three million dollar budget planned by school district The Nebo School district Board of Education accepted a tentative budget of $3,809,-019 $3,809,-019 for the year 1960-61, presented pre-sented by Supt. W. W. Brock-bank Brock-bank at the meeting Monday evening, and set a public hearing hear-ing on the budget Monday evening June 6, at 8 p.m., in the school office. Assignments were made for board members and the superintendent super-intendent to attend graduation exercises. Board member Leo A. Crandall and Supt. Brock- bank will attend the Springville Spring-ville Senior and Junior exercises. exer-cises. . Other business of interest to townspeople included a report made by two secondary principals princi-pals who had been sent to a Portland, Oreg. convention ; authorization of some $23,000 worth of school lunch items on bids. The bids were not included in-cluded in the minutes but were reported to be on file at the office. Bids to furnish paint for summer work on schools were accepted from Utah Service Ser-vice of Springville; Burdick Lumber of Payson and Jex Lumber Co. of Spanish Fork. Bid figures on the paint also are on file at the office. Other reports at the meeting meet-ing were in the bank balance and a financial report by the clerk. The clerk was also authorized author-ized by the board to call for approximately $600,000 in tax anticipation bonds in denominations denomin-ations of $100,000 each to meet current obligations during the year 1960-61 to be sold from time to time as funds were needed. Quotations are to be received at the office on or before June 3 containing options op-tions to redeem any or all after af-ter January 20, 1961. |
