Called the "Fury Fencer," the much-publicized prototype machine can erect woven wire fence only, or woven wire and strands of barbed wire, in a one-pass operation by a two-man crew. Where barbed wire only is needed, as many as five strands can be dispensed at the same time. Developed by U. S. Steel in cooperation with .its American Steel & Wire Division, the Fury Fencer will be demonstrated at several points in Utah Valley during the big, three-day "Salute to Men of Steel." The new machine holds promise of taking the time and hard work out of fence building one of the most arduous jobs left on today's modern farms and ranches. |
