They were the house quests of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil jlaynard and Mrs. Erva Childs and were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wood-ro- w Weight Thursday. They will spend a few days in Delta with Mrs. Rothwell's daughter and family, before returning to Idaho. J ' f t UtAd W . . ii J Elwood L. Loveridge to be honored by the Eleventh ward at a farewell Sunday evening before leaving for the New England States. E. L. Loveridge farewell set Sunday evening Elwood L. Loveridge will be honored at a farewell testi-monial in the 11th ward at 7:00 p.m. He is going to the New England States Mission and will enter the Mission Home November 7i He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood C. Loveridge. President Hal Taylor and Bi-shop James Lawrence will be speakers. There will be re-marks from Bishop Ernest M. Boyer, Jr., and the parents of the missionary and a response from Elder Loveridge. Music will include an organ solo by Arnold Loveridge; a vocal solo, Sue Barnett; open-ing and closing songs by the congregation, and the prelude and postlude music ' by Zara Tonks. The invocation will be offer-ed by Steve W. Alley, with the benediction given by Mer-rill Bryan. Missionaries from the Elev-enth ward in the field are: Lloyd Castleton, Swiss Aus-trian; Leah Mae Averett, Nor-thern Far East; Bernell Lover-idge, Finnish; Marvin Gay, North Central States; Don Strong, Eastern States; Frank L o,f t i n, Spanish American; Floss Steffins, Northern States; Richard Gardner, West Ger-man and Gary C. History of educator reviewed at DUP meet The story of the life of the early pioneer Maeser educator, Carl G and his wife Anna Thersa Meith Maeser, were re-viewed by Melva Smith at Camp Locust Grove DUP meet-ing for the month of October. The meeting was held at the home of Capt. Margaret J. Mi- ner and Dr. Maeser's daughter, Mrs. Eva M. Crandall came from Salt Lake City where she has been living recently to be a special guest. During the she commented infor-mally on experiences in the Maeser home. The lesson for the month on the Pioneers of 1860, was pre- sented by Barbara Hendrick-so- n. Hostesses assisting Mrs. Mi- ner were Maude Bunce and Thelma Hjorth. Mrs. Kent Crandall, Elaine C. Jackson, Almah M. Johnson, Seva T. Blanchard were guests. John , Thorn, son of Bernell Thorn of this city, came from Annapolis Naval Academy, Maryland, to attend the fun-eral services for his grand-mother, Mrs. Elsie H.
