Show Federation Elects Hew Officers For Year; Vote to Raise '59 Dues Clyde W. Peay was re-elected president of the Springville-Mapleton Wildlife Federation at their annual election meeting: held Saturday night in the Springville fire hall. Also re-elected were Blake Everett, vice president; Hastings Hast-ings Smith, secretary; G. M. Black and H. M. Weight, holdover hold-over directors. New 2-year directors di-rectors elected were Douglas Bills and Neil Peay; Charles Porter, one-year director. A resolution was introduced and passed by the group raising rais-ing the dues from one dollar to two, per year. This was felt necessary in the face of increased State and County affiliation af-filiation dues, the increase in postal rates and other items, president Peay stated. ( The building of the new rifle range was shown in a movie by Garth Killpack, narrated by G. M. Black, both of whom contributed greatly and were largely responsible for the project. pro-ject. Fish and Game officials introduced in-troduced at the meeting included in-cluded Casey Bown of the publicity pub-licity department; Norm Hancock, Han-cock, regional game manager; Bob Tasker, local conservation officer; Dick Sanders, representing repre-senting the Forest Service from the Spanish Fork office. Future plans announced by President Peay included the continuation of the building ol the rifle range, which will eventually be one of the finest in the state, he stated; regular regu-lar membership meeting during National Wildlife Week; the annual outing at Balsam in June; the continuation of the Range Survey on a broader scope. Following the business meeting, meet-ing, a lunch was enjoyed by those present, including a number num-ber of local women sportsmen. |
