Installed officers of the new Auxiliary to Art City Post of Veterans of Foreign Wars at a meeting Tuesday evening at Memorial Hall were, left to right, Mrs. Don Tipton, junior vice-president; Mrs. Wells Bring-hurst, Bring-hurst, president; rear, Mrs. Paul Weight, secretary; Mrs. Clyde Averett, treasurer; Mrs. Leonard Zobell, senior vice-president. VFW-Auxiliary Installs New Officers Here Installation of officers for the first auxiliary to Art City Post 5787 Veterans of Foreign Wars, was conducted Tuesday evening at Memorial Hall with approximately 65 people attending, at-tending, including district and state officers, presidents of other auxiliaries and members of the local post and auxiliary. Mrs. Harold Paxman, national na-tional chairman of VFW Auxiliary, Aux-iliary, Orem, acted as mistress of ceremonies introducing the department president, Mrs. Elsa A. Decker and the secretary, secre-tary, Mrs. Verna Stone, Salt Lake City. Color advancement and floor work was done by district six officers. Mrs. Clyde Bingham, district Six president, officiated officiat-ed at the instituting and Mrs. Charles P. Dowling, department depart-ment senior vice-president was the installing officer. Mrs. Wells Bringhurst was installed president; Mrs. Don Tipton, junior vice-president; Mrs. Leonard Zobell, senior vice president; and Mrs. Paul Weight, secretary; Mrs. Clyde Averett, treasurer. There will be other appointive officers. Following the installation, short talks were made by the newly installed president and also by the Post Commander, Wells Bringhurst. The department president presented the newly organized unit with a Bible and refreshments refresh-ments were served at the close of the meeting. |
