Show GEM STATE FACING PROBLEM AS TO TIME Special to The Tribune. BOISE, Idaho, Oct. 20. By placing Idaho on Pacific coast time, the south- I ern part of this state virtually loses two i hours of twilight on October 26. To overcome the handicap, merchants in Boise are seriously considering closing their places of business on and after that date an hour earlier. On October 26 the daylight saving law ceases to exist, and all sections go back to their old time, but through a rearrangement of zones last summer southern Idaho was placed on Pacific instead of intermountain time, which makes it one hour shorter than formerly. |
