Arra n semen ts are beintr made for a party of -00 to 300 boys, who will po under the direction of the general Y. ftl. ' M. 1. A. board and the officials of the five stakes. The hiking- party will first visit Gor-g-oza, in Parley's canyon, where camp will be made for two days. Here the fathers will have an opportunity to wit- ; ' ness the latest Scout methods of fishinp, 1 hiking and camping. On Wednesday camp will be broken, and the party will travel on down the canyon trail to Mountain Moun-tain Dell before making their second camp. Little Mountain will be the next camping camp-ing grounds. Here tho twenty-fourth will be celebrated by appropriate programs pro-grams and sports, including the annual bonfire. Arrangements have been made for the fathers who cannot make the entire trip to meet the boys Tuesday night and take the journey over the trail with the boys, returning to their work after one day's outing. Many of the L. D. S. church officials of-ficials have signified their intention of participating in the trip. John Bowman of the general board is in charge of the outing, with Dr. John II Tavlor, George J. Cannon and Roy Heath 'assisting in the work. The other members of the committee are Melvin Ballard, Jr., YVilford Beesley. C. II. Spencer Spen-cer and Joseph Kingdom Final arrangements arrange-ments have not been completed, but an elaborate Scout program is being arranged ar-ranged for the celebration of the anniversary anni-versary of the coming of the pioneers into the valley in 1817. |
