The stores in the Rumanian capital are said to be doing as great a volume of business as they did in pre-war : times. Rumanian importers insistently demand de-mand that more American manufactures manu-factures be made available. Their custom cus-tom needs automobiles, farm implements, imple-ments, gas engines, lathes, sewing machines, ma-chines, cash registers, typewriters and similar products. It is said that Canada is preparing to send its products to Rumania.' The Canadian government, following its course in Greece and Serbia, has lent Rumania oO.Omi.OOi). with which to pay for consignments from the dominion, and apparently is laying a strong foundation foun-dation for an extension uf its business. The United Sta;-s, however, has first call on Rumanian trade and could easily hold the market if proper measures were taken to do so. |
