Show EPWDRTH LEAGUE W EiTIl OPENS Gathering1 Is Being Held at Big Springs, Idaho, With Good Attendance. Special to The Tribune. BI; SPRINGS. Idaho, July 30. The Kp worth league of the Poeatello district Is In convention here, with an excellent attondance. The convention opened yes-terdny yes-terdny and will close next Sunday evening-. Most of the delegates are housed In tents and meals aro being served under the direction -if Mrs. W. L. Kobinson and Mrs. Mark White of Ashton. Among the instructors are Dr. Robert Uruinblay, dean of the faculty and head of the Institute work of the league: D. KImer CI rant Keith, pastor of the First church at Twin Falls; Dr. J. G. Cotting-hain. Cotting-hain. representative of the genernl board of the Kp worth league. New York City: Mrs, J. G. Cottlngham. dean of women, and President Charles Wesley Tenney or Gooding college. The Rev. George N. Calloway, pastor of the Methodist church at Burley; the Rev. P. Is", Ma.ining, pastor of the Methodist Meth-odist church at Hanson, and Superintendent Superin-tendent John J. Lace of Salt Lake also are scheduled to participate. The convention opened at 6:30 o'clock yesterday morning with the "morning watch," and after breakfast the regular classwork was token up. The afternoons tire being spent in recreation, rest and study, according to individual taste, and the evenings are being devoted to lectures, bonfires, "stunts," etc., closing with de-votlonals. |
