Show I DOG IS FRIENDLY, AND ! THUGS ROB RESIDENCE The apparentlv friendly disposition of a pet bulldog left to guard the home of W. A. Harrington, 320 Seventh East street, during the absence of the family fam-ily Fridav night, aided intruders in taking ('S in cash and several articles of iewelrv. The. house had been thoroughly thor-oughly searched, the contents of drawers draw-ers having been removed and furniture thrown about the rooms when the owners own-ers returned. The money, which was in a purse, was taken from beneath a mattress where it had been placed for safekeeping. Xo trace of the burglars has been found. They are believed to have entered the house by means of a pass kev. The home of A. M. Perkins, 17 West Eighth North street, was entered and articles of clothing, some jewelry and a safety razor were stolen. Burglars gained entrance through a window to the home of M. Careta, 323 West North Temple street, taking some embroidered collars and other wearing apparel. Another loss reported to the police was that of Sam Low, 113 West Second Sec-ond South street, who furnished a description de-scription of a woman who is said to have taken a silk kimono and a silk jacket from his store. |
