As a climax to the first ;( unwritten law'' murcVr trial in the history of this state, an unusually attractive Utah girl, Cora A. Yansladcn of Briham City, was discharged from the Koek-in'ham Koek-in'ham county criminal court thin afternoon aft-ernoon after a jury had found her not guilty of first decree murder. The girl, who is but Hi years of age. was charged with the murder of Charles Arthur "Wilson of Seabrook, a wealthy farmer, who brought her here about a vear and a -half ago from Utah, following fol-lowing the death of the child's father. Wilson was a partner of Vansladen's at lirigham City. The girl was entrusted en-trusted to Wilson's care just previous 'to her father's death. Shortly af Vr their arrival here Wilson Wil-son purchnsed ;i lonely farm. Men and women prominent in social affairs became interested in the case following the arrest of the girl. A sub-. sub-. scription was raised for her defense. Wilson, it was claimed by the state, was poisoned with pans greeu. and during his death struggle was shot with a double-barreled shotgun, the left side of his head practically being blown away. The yo.ung woman is now at yt. Luke's home, where she will remain in a immanent im-manent position. |
