The finance committee of the United States Steel corporation cor-poration met today. After the meeting, Elbert II. He refused re-fused to answer directly, but remarked: "The wave of Bolshevism may yet strike us " When Mr. Gary's attention was called to claims of union leaders that the steel workers were 100 per cent organized, he reiterated his previous statement that, according to his information, not more than 15 per cent of the corporation's employees em-ployees were union men. "However," he , added. "I do not believe in denying things I have no knowledge of." He said he rather felt that the independent steel manufacturers would welcome a strike; ' Mr. Onry and President Farrell, who also was present at the conference, both denied that there was any particular significance to the meeting.
