The race for third place is on. Some of the local draft boards have not yet even appeared in the race. The- race Is that among local boards Intended In-tended to stimulate progress in the classification classi-fication of registrants of September 12 last, of IS years of age and of 37 to 45 years, inclusive, and In the physical examination ex-amination of these registrants who were classified In. class 1. Tooele county, in a telegram dated at 11 :59 a. m., reported that it had completed com-pleted at least 90 per cent of the physical examination work, which means It had passed under the wire, in race parlance. Rich country's telegram to the same eftect was dated 1:42 p. m. on the same day. There are a large number of boards in the third position.
