Show JAPANESE FOREMAN ADMITTED TO BAIL Y. Kakebe, charged with involuntary involun-tary manslaughter, as a result of the death of Andrew Collings in the wreck of the Denver & Eio Grande train last Wednesday, was admitted to $1000 bail yesterday by Henry C. Lund, justice of the peace. Kakebe is a Japanese, and was foreman fore-man of the section gang at work on the track that gave way and wrecked j the train. Alled negligence on his I part, in not safeguarding the train by I having it warned by a flagman, and j by not having the rails sufficiently i spiked at the time the train went over, is the basis of the complaint. Bail for Kakebe was furnished by E. D. Hashimoto, a Japanese merchant of this city. |
