Tho joint celebration cele-bration or tho Miners' union and the Elks arranged for Flag day started with a. j grand patriotic- parade at 9:30 o'clock, j Tho order of the parade was as follows: ', 1 n 10. I , Lei Jo m pLo, Hag bea re r ; Park 1 City Independent hand; boy scouts; s-ehool children; Junior Red Cross unit In ! i-inifoini; Klks' float, "Driving the Wedge for Liberty," with Miss Kioanor Wright as the Goddess of liberty; Klks' unit of the local Red Cross In uniform of Red Cro.;s nurses, carrying a large American flag; Elks' float, with Barley MeDonough a Uncle Sam; Elks' float, "Over There," with service flag with twenty-nine stars; war savings stamp float; auto section, all decorated with the national colors. Resides celebrating Union day and flag day, Paik City's drive for $fJO,000 worth of war .savings stamps was opened and all floats and autos carried W. S. S. posters. A tier the parade the children's races were held on Main street. In tho afternoon a ball game Park City vs. Bingham was ; played. The evening exercises wer.e held In Society So-ciety hall by" the Elks, and the following program was given : Medley of national airs, Josepit Marriott orchestra; song, "Star Spangled J ianner," audience; "Our Honor Roll" and reading of poem, contributed con-tributed by Mrs. Charles T. Zook, David Baxter and John Oiibert; Flag Record, H. W. Deigh-t Deigh-t on, P. E. R. ; altar service, esquire and officers; "Auld Lang Syne," audience; vocal vo-cal duet, "Keep Your Eye on Uncle Sammy." Sam-my."
