Show STAMP CAMPAIGN IS OPEIEOJUKI OGDEX, June 13. Tbo gospel of "war savings stamps" was expounded ; from the stage of the theaters tonight, and it will be preached from the pulpits pul-pits of twelve churches tomorrow. Monday twenty business men's committees com-mittees go fortli in the bifr canvass of the business district to take pledges. It is planned to visit every store and office building in the city before the work is completed. Those who spoke at the theaters tonight, to-night, were: Gus Wright, at the Ogden theater; John (i. Willis, Alhambra; Dr. K. P. Phillips, Utah; M. C. Woods, :ozy; 'H. C. Johnson, Kex, and George llalverson. Lyceum. The following "four-minute" men will talk at the ward chapels Sunday evening: First ward, Arthur Woolley; Second, P. h. mine; Third, S. P. Pobbs; Fourth, W. JI. h'eeder, Jr.; Fifth, George U. Rennott; Sixth, JI. C. Johnson; Sev-vn Sev-vn th, J. (i. Willis; Eighth, N. J. Harris; Har-ris; Ninth, John O. I). Davis; Tenth, (Ins Wright; Eleventh, Joseph Chez; Twelfth, Dr. K P. Mills. Thrift, clubs are being organized daily in the big department stores and indus-triiil indus-triiil concerns of the city by the em-plovecs. em-plovecs. Those organisations have officers of-ficers and will be' a permanent affair during tho period of the war. Three of the organizations were effected at the Wright store. Each club has forty members and its own set of officers. The name work is being carried on in other concerns of the city. |
