Show FEARFUL MIXTURES PASS FOR TOBACCO AMSTERDAM, April 20. Weird and wonderful are the mixtures that pass as (tobacco in Germany, now that the government gov-ernment has decreed that anything Is tobacco to-bacco that contains not less than 5 per cent of the nicotine weed. The rest may be dried leaves of beech, i cherry, chicory, hops, beetroot, sorrel, ' Potato, rhubarb or coltsfoot. One German Ger-man writer says that the result Is "a rank offense, it smells to heaven." Cigars made from this "tobacco" go by the appropriate popular name of "In-famla "In-famla Scandalosa." |
